Welcome Military Families

Welcome to HSI MH! My name is Mr. J. Aguirre, and I proudly serve as the Military Family Liaison and Dean of Student Culture at Harmony School of Innovation Middle High – El Paso.

Originally from El Paso, I served in the United States Army for 32 years, gaining firsthand experience with the unique challenges and strengths of military life. After retiring from military service, I chose to continue serving my community through education and student support.

As someone with both military and educational leadership experience, I understand the importance of connection, support, and community for military-connected students and families. Our campus is committed to helping every student feel welcomed, supported, valued, and prepared for success.

I look forward to building strong partnerships between our school, military families, and the Fort Bliss community while ensuring students feel connected both inside and outside the classroom.

At Harmony School of Innovation Middle High – El Paso, we are proud to support military-connected students and families through strong relationships, transition support, academic guidance, emotional wellness resources, and community partnerships.

We recognize that military families experience unique transitions and challenges, including relocations, deployments, and school changes. Our goal is to ensure every student feels welcomed, connected, supported, and prepared for success from their very first day at HSI MH.

Through collaboration between campus leadership, counselors, student support staff, and community partners, HSI MH strives to create a positive and supportive environment where military-connected students and families can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

As the Military Liaison and Community Partnerships Coordinator for Harmony School of Innovation – El Paso, Mr. Aguirre proudly supports military-connected students and families.

Originally from El Paso, Mr. Aguirre served in the United States Army for 32 years, gaining firsthand experience with the unique challenges and strengths of military life. After retiring from military service, he chose to become an educator because he wanted to continue serving his community and help El Paso students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Mr. Aguirre is committed to building strong partnerships between our school, military families, and the Fort Bliss community to help ensure every student feels welcomed, supported, connected, and valued at HSI MH.
